Thanks guys. Midphase Member posts Joined: Jan. OSX versions are typically larger in size than the Windows and Linux equivalents. My understanding is that some libraries that are built into the other OS’s are not available in OSX, so the developer has to include them in the installer. I wouldn’t read too much into it other than it’s what’s needed to make sure Houdini runs properly on that operating system. I am just talking about the difference between the previous version and the current one, not the difference between platforms.
