According to the developers, there are millions of procedurally generated guns in the game and they all have their own unique and bizarre models. With a style that’s reminiscent of Borderlands, this fast-paced shooter keeps you on your toes as you skip around laser spewing bots and floating droids. Considered their best title in the long-running series, Alien Shooter 2 is an arcade action game with strong RPG elements and an emphasis on looting your environment for better gear, weapons, and other items.

Science fiction or fantasy are common settings for most looter shooters, as it lets developers go crazy with item ideas. The Division 2 takes a different, more modern approach. Unlike other looter shooters on the market, The Division 2 uses grounded weapons from reality in a somewhat post-apocalyptic setting. It doesn’t take away from the creativity of items, however. Specialist abilities allow players to use incredibly powerful weapons alongside the default skills they’ve selected.

Items come with unique stats, set bonuses, and the game even includes PvP. A remaster of the original, Relic Hunters Zero: Remix is an adorable isometric shooter that feels more hyper-violent Saturday morning cartoon than videogame.

The fast-paced roguelike setting of Relic Hunters Zero: Remix blends a mixture of Enter the Gungeon and Nuclear Throne that keeps you pushing through its Dungeon Floors again and again to find bigger and better rewards on your next run. With seven characters to choose from, a fantastic soundtrack beating away and it being completely free to play, Relic Hunters Zero: Remix is a game that needs to be on your radar.

It’s full of charm and there’s a surprisingly substantial amount of challenge to be had, if you like cartoony shooters, this one is for you. Risk of Rain 2 might appear to be just a roguelike, but it also shares many similarities with looter shooters. Players spend the game finding items to make their character more powerful before they inevitably die to the chaotic combat scenarios that occur at later stages.

Death isn’t a dreadful consequence of failure in Risk of Rain 2. It’s a chance to try a new strategy, use a new character, or attempt to complete a challenge. It’s so broad that I’m having a hard time to mentally go through all the games that might fit.

One that does come to mind is Sacred Gold. There are a ton of different randomized modifiers that you can find on gear. Even if a piece isn’t good enough to equip, it can be fun just seeing what kind of weird stuff it does. It’s also great finding a good piece for another class and putting it in your shared chest to use with another character later, or to give to a friend playing another class.

My shared chest was usually filled to the brim with legendary loot or pieces of sets for other classes. The graphic design of the weapons and armor is pretty great as well.

The dark elf blades in particular looked awesome. You can also get a lightsaber or even a lightwhip. They have some of the greatest guns to go after and have some of the best ways to do that, not all of them for sure, but a good portion of them.

They also have some really great outfit pieces to find as well, with special abilities. Its one of the biggest parts aside from gunplay on why I still finding myself playing that game, even with its major lows. Frindis: Right off the bat, I would have to say Borderlands 2. I have mentioned both Borderlands 3 and Morrowind in another thread when it came down to cool and funny weapons, but right now I feel Borderlands 2 deserves the throne because of the grinding for hours getting the Infinite pistol from Doc Mercy with the right stats.

The drop rate back in vanilla at least from what I remember was extremely low, but thankfully there were a couple of good tactics for killing the boss quite fast. It took me at least times before I got my hands on the gun and seeing the legendary drop color was quite the rush.

The Infinite pistol was so amazing because it could shoot without using ammo and it just looked and sounded really cool. It was a great weapon for leveling up or when you did not have ammo left on other guns, or just wanted to save a little. The game had plenty more awesome loot, but it was this episode from Borderlands 2 I remember most clearly and that gun will always be in the book of some of my absolute favorite loot.

McStabStab: Escape from Tarkov. The loot you find can change a session from a casual raid to a heart pounding extraction run. As the franchise progresses, the loot becomes even more numerous and diverse, making players love shooting things all over again to see what other cool weapon they can find. This is definitely the loot game to get if you want to play as a badass, walking skeleton.

The sequel to Darksiders has a few more mechanics than the original, but it is overall the same. You can raise the dead, turn into a giant grim reaper, teleport, and do many other new stunts with your abilities. I do prefer the first game when it comes to characters since War is by far my favorite Horseman. Still, Darksiders 2 is an amazing game nonetheless. Death is cool, sarcastic, and comes with many new mechanics, so if you like RPG elements in your adventure games, especially if you also enjoyed the first game of the franchise, make sure to try Darksiders 2.

Still, it was one of the best games that felt like the classic dark fantasy of Diablo but provided a lot of value with its original twists and free-to-play model. In Path of Exile, players choose from seven playable character classes and explore randomized dungeons to find items, fight monsters, and complete quests.

Path of Exile is an Action-RPG with lots of crafting, socketed items, gems, gambling, and isometric action. The game offers endless variations of gameplay with its deep skill tree system and special abilities that you can equip or trade to better fit your playstyle. Still, it has its own unique mechanics that keep it from being just a clone. You play as William Adams, a man who grows up in a small Irish village.

With Saoirse being kidnapped by the main villain, Edward Kelley, William travels to a foreign land to stop Kelley and return the favor by saving Saoirse. The campaign itself is a bit short, but not only is it fun to play again, but it also has many side quests and challenges. I spent a lot of time playing through them with different builds and weapons. Titan Quest is the game that paved the way for many Diablo-like action role-playing games.

When it was released, the comparisons were unavoidable. After all, Diablo II took what worked in its predecessor and improved upon nearly every aspect of it. The big difference between those two games can be seen in their aesthetic choices: Diablo has a gothic horror, dark fantasy setting with a gritty and depressing world.

On the other hand, Titan Quest opts to have a different approach. You have your health potions, MP potions, hundreds of different items of different rarities, and so on. I had a lot of fun with Titan Quest and its class system, which is very different from anything in Diablo. The game was released in and is on its third installment.

Torchlight is a hack and slash dungeon crawler game set in a fantastical world where you must go underground to kill monsters, collect treasures, and save the City. Genshin Impact. Garena Free Fire: 5th Anniv.

Soul Knight. Granny Chapter Two. Johnny Trigger: Action Shooter. Honkai Impact 3rd. Cyber Hunter. More Games.

Compete against fellow players to reach high-tier loot spots and be wary of invasions by “The Management” as they attempt to find and take down Travelers. Top Rated. Much like the Vanhelsing games, Victor Vran has a few issues; thankfully, none of them are truly game-breaking sorry Vanhelsing fans.
