License and product numbers

I went through a small business building program with a local bank and we were gifted an HP laptop and a QuickBooks license number that is supposed to be good for one year. The problem is, the bank that gifted it to us does not know what the product code is, only the license number, so I can not activate the software.

Is there a way to make this work? We have different ways to locate the product code and license number of QuickBooks Desktop. They are usually found on the original packaging next to the UPC Code.

If you no longer have the packaging with the license and product numbers, we can use the License Look Up tool. Our last option to find the product number would be to contact our Customer Care Team. They can pull up your account and review the details of QuickBooks Desktop. Unfortunately, they did not give us any packaging or even tell us what version of QuickBooks the license if for.

All the did was give us the laptop and a piece of paper with the License number on it as well as the web address to download QuickBooks. I can’t install the program since it gets stuck at the stage where it is asking for the product number. We actually already have an older version of QuickBooks Premier on the rest of our computers that we are actively using. Is there a way to integrate this license with what we already have? I don’t have access to any of the other information needed to find the Product Code for this new License.
