Mapped drives I have personally mapped are disconnected after every sign in, and yes the ‘Reconnect at sign-in’ box is checked.

So, make sure you check that a domain account hasn’t been added to the local machine. It can be safely deleted from this area without affecting the domain user’s account or data. You don’t happen to have any overlapping GPO settings do you?
Try putting the system and the user in a separate OU that blocks inheritance. Leave enough time for replication to take effect and try again. Does the drive still appear?

I don’t have overlapping GPO settings I don’t believe. We don’t break our GPOs down to apply to only specific users or machines here I’m using that exclusively over logon scripts.
Also check for any errant logon scripts stored locally. Do a scan for malware. Some malware will “lock” certain states on the hard drive as a way of preventing itself from being removed. For anyone reading this thread, I wanted to revoot another mysterious behavior I’ve found. I had a drive mapped, with a shortcut on the desktop. Perhaps it’s a “feature” somewhere I have the Google Drive app, but all other extensions disabled. Simply delete any referencing shortcuts to the no longer existing drive and the issue seems to be fixed.
